Franker (franker.app)

Welcome to Franker, a hot dog review and discovery app operated by The Food in My Beard ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these terms.

The short version: be honest, be decent, review hot dogs. Don't post garbage, don't harass people, and don't pretend to be someone you're not.

1. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Franker. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. One account per person. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account).

2. Your content

You own the content you post — reviews, photos, notes, and directory entries. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Franker service (that's what makes reviews visible to other users — it's how a review app works). This license ends for content you delete, except where it has been shared through the normal operation of the service or retained briefly in backups.

Post only content you have the right to post. Photos should be your own.

3. Community guidelines (the content policy)

Franker is for genuine hot dog reviews and discovery. The following are not allowed:

• Harassment or abuse of any person, including other users, restaurant staff, or owners
• Hate speech or content that attacks people based on identity
• Sexual, violent, or graphic content — this is a food app
• Spam and fake content — fake reviews, review manipulation (positive or negative), bulk junk entries, advertising unrelated to a genuine review
• Impersonation— pretending to be another person, a business, or a Franker moderator; claiming a location you don't own
• Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity
• Doxxing / private information— posting anyone's personal information
• Off-topic misuse — the directory is for real establishments that serve hot dogs; reviews are for hot dogs you actually experienced

Honest negative reviews are welcome. "This dog was overcooked and the bun was stale" is exactly what the app is for. Reviews written to harass, extort, or manipulate are not.

4. Reporting, moderation & enforcement

• Every review and user can be reported in the app (report content / block user).
• You can block any user to stop seeing their content and interactions.
• Our moderators review reported content and new directory entries. We may remove content, correct directory entries, suspend or ban accounts, and deny or revoke location-ownership claims, at our discretion, to keep the community healthy.
• Location owners may respond publicly to reviews of their establishment but may not use responses to harass reviewers.
• We may remove any content or account that violates these terms or harms the service. We aim to be fair; we also reserve the right to act quickly against clear abuse.

5. Location owners

Owners may claim their establishment, subject to verification and moderator approval. Verified owners may edit their location's details, manage its menu, add location photos, and respond to reviews. Ownership features may not be used to manipulate ratings, remove honest criticism, or mislead users. Abuse of owner features may result in loss of owner status or account termination.

6. The service

Franker is provided "as is." We're a small operation and the app is in active development — features may change, and we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Ratings and directory information are user-generated and provided for informational purposes; we don't guarantee their accuracy (a 5.0 vibe score is an opinion, not a warranty).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us to use it (currently: nothing).

7. Termination

You may stop using Franker and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content license for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll update this page, adjust the "last updated" date, and where appropriate notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Franker after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
